Print placement, positioning, and production tolerances

By default, a chest print starts 3–3.5 cm below the collar, and a normal production tolerance of about ±1–3 cm applies to where a print actually lands on the finished garment. This is a manual process, not a machine with a numeric position input, so small variation is expected — here's what that means for your order.

Standard placement

Unless you request something else, a chest print is centered and starts 3–3.5 cm below the collar seam. This is the default position used across our catalog for chest prints.

Why placement varies (production tolerance)

Printing is positioned on each garment individually before it goes through the press or embroidery machine. A tolerance of roughly ±1–3 cm in placement, both vertically and horizontally, is normal and expected — it is not a defect. We proactively flag this tolerance to customers, and especially recommend keeping it in mind for larger orders, where you'll see this same natural variation repeated across multiple pieces rather than on a single item.

If your project is placement-sensitive (e.g. a large batch that needs to look uniform, or a design that must align precisely with a seam or edge), account for this tolerance when planning your artwork and quantities.

Requesting a custom or specific placement

The configurator does not have a numeric field to set an exact position (e.g. "X cm from collar, Y cm from center") — placement is set visually per product. If you need a non-standard or precise placement, use the comments box at checkout to describe exactly what you need (e.g. "print centered on left chest only" or "logo 2 cm higher than default"). Our production team reviews checkout comments before printing.

Because comments are reviewed manually and not guaranteed to reach production in time for last-minute changes, submit special placement requests as early as possible — ideally at the time of ordering, not after.

Maximum print sizes

Available print area depends on the garment size — roughly up to 28×22 cm on smaller sizes and up to about 36×45 cm on larger ones. The exact printable area for your chosen product and size is shown in the configurator.

If a print looks outside tolerance

If you believe a delivered print falls outside the normal ±1–3 cm tolerance — for example, measurably off-center or positioned far from the standard drop — contact us via chat with your order number and photos showing the placement (ideally with a ruler or reference point).
